OMG! - What a darling Wonderful European like café. - The saffron cake... And truly authentic German cheesecake were amazing! - I am a European Expat and came here from Germany 31 years ago... What I've been missing the most, and I was never able to find Westy authentic cheesecake from back home... Not made with cream cheese as an American style... But baked buttermilk... And Germany called that: Quarck. I have never been able to find this in the United States... And had to wiggle my way through online and talk to other Europeans on how they go about making it here in the states without the Quarck being available in US grocery stores. - SAFFRON BAKERY - definitely hit it on the mark... I was so pleasantly surprised on a day when everything went wrong for me and my girlfriend took me out for brunch there. - your baker definitely knew how to make it. I will go back to her from now on and it will become my stable bakery. -not only that their omelettes are heavenly... Made with love, and it tastes accordingly. - my girlfriend ordered Turkish coffee for us, and Darius kept on refilling it... And was just the kindest host. Wonderful feel there at the saffron bakery and I feel like I'm home again just a couple of blocks away from where I live... I'm so happy saffron bakery is now in Aliso Viejo and has authentic European pastries among beautiful breakfast to offer.- WELCOME SAFFRON BAKERY... so happy you have arrived. Tasty treats, breakfast and lunch! Reasonably priced owner owned and operated! Great customer service. I purchased a strawberry whipped cream cake. Very yummy it was so good I came back for breakfast and had the avocado toast. Very yummy. Must try if you haven't been here it's time to try!!

We love this little bakery, it's tucked away in a shopping center near a gas station so I never would have found it if it wasn't for hearing that they have organic sourdough loaves. We come here for the organic sourdough and challah but we always leave with more! Guava and cheese danishes are my kids favorites, cookies and muffins are excellent too. I got the spinach quiche today and it was delicious all warmed up. Love all the friendly staff here, can't wait to come back!

Excellent service, the person that helped us out was very friendly and gave my daughter a free cookie which I thought was very generous. The pastries we got were all delicious! ( A cinnamon roll, cheese Danish, cheesecake, Nutella filled pastry)I plan to return again! The place was small, but clean with a couple of tables to enjoy the tasty food.
